PRIVACY STATEMENT

So rest assured, any information you share with us will be carefully guarded through our use of industry-standard security software. Please read on for more details about our privacy policy. TGP reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time. Be sure to check this page periodically for updates. This policy applies only to personal information collected online at www.thegroomingprofessionals.com. This policy is effective May 1, 2020.
SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.
Promotional Events. If you choose to take part in a promotional event, we’ll ask for any information necessary to the administration of the event such as your name, email address, and shipping address. We may, on occasion, co-sponsor promotions with third parties. We will notify you at the time of collection if third parties will obtain your personal information.
Surveys. From time-to-time we may post surveys on our Site. The surveys may request demographic information (such as age range, gender, areas of interest, and familiarity with TGP’s Barbershop products and services) and customer feedback. Participation in these requests is completely voluntary and with each request you will have the choice of whether or not to disclose information.
Aggregate Information. We collect Aggregate Information about you and your use of our Site whenever you visit us online. For instance, we may collect various forms of “click stream” information such as entry and exit points for the Site (i.e., referring URLs or domains), traffic statistics, page views, impressions, and operating system and browser type. This Aggregate Information generally will not personally identify you or be correlated to you individually for external purposes. We may collect, compile, store, publish, promote, report, sell, or otherwise disclose or use any and all Aggregate Information, provided that, such information does not personally identify you. When we share such information with other companies, it is not traceable to any particular user, and will not be used to contact you. If we do correlate any Aggregate Information to you, such information will be treated like any other Personal Information under this policy.
E-Mail Updates. Unless we hear from you otherwise, we’ll email you occasional updates about new additions to this site, special offers you can take advantage of at your local TGP’s Barbershop location(s). If at any time you decide you’d rather not receive this type of information from us, simply “opt out” of such communication in the email and select the option to be removed from email updates/promotions.
SECTION 2 - CONSENT
How do you get my consent? When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent? If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us at thegroomingprofessionals@gmail.com.
SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURES
We do not share any of your personal information with others. TGP reserves the right to use or disclose any information as needed to satisfy any law, regulation or legal request, to protect the integrity of the Site, to fulfill your requests, or to cooperate in any law enforcement investigation or an investigation on a matter of public safety.
SECTION 4 - SHOPIFY
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. SECTION 8 - AGE OF CONSENT

Children’s Information. TGP recognizes the need to provide additional privacy protection to children. However, it is sometimes necessary to collect some personally identifiable information about children in order to allow them to use a feature of our site. In addition, be aware that all sites that are targeted to children 12 and younger are prohibited by law from collecting more information than they need. If a parent registers for email promotions with respect to services for their children, we may, request the child’s name, date of birth and parent’s e-mail address. We collect this information in order to verify the child’s age and send personalized promotional messages to the parents. We require our affiliates and franchisees to respect our privacy practices concerning children’s information and not use children’s information for purposes other than to carry out our instructions. Parents may request at any time that we delete information about their children from our databases. To do so, as a parent, when an email message is sent to you, select the option to be removed from the mailing list.
